We are recruiting for a Store Person to join our Workshop team in Inverkeithing, Scotland.
The successful candidate will oversee and facilitate the supply chain operations of SMS and ensure coordination and effective distribution of goods. We require the individual to maintain a professional stores area and efficient liaising and assisting with the workshop.
Summary of Responsibilities:
- Supporting & coordinating all supply chain procedures to maximise the quality of delivery
- Place purchase enquiries & orders as and when required following the Quality procedure to completion
- Receive, unload and deal with goods in items & coordinate deliveries
- Prepare for shipping, load and dispatch goods out items
- Plan shipments based on product availability, customer & internal requests
- Track orders to ensure timely deliveries & provide information to customers about the status of their orders
- Prepare & manage shipping documents liaising with the service department
- Organise the return & replacement of faulty/damaged goods to include the Quality procedure being followed
- Oversee the storage of products and ensure correct storage protocols
- Maintain and update internal customers on quarantine items
- Maintain updated records of orders, suppliers & customers
- Oversee levels of warehouse stock & place orders as needed
- Issuance & recording of stores materials/parts to the shop floor
- Inventory audits & maintaining records & reports of purchases and pricing
- Increase profitability and effectiveness by maintaining optimal stock levels of quality products at all times
- Assist on the workshop floor as and when required
- Operate the forklift truck
- Keep stores area clean, tidy & safe
- Ability to work collaboratively with multiple disciplines within teams & projects
- Maintaining a positive attitude that inspires co-workers & Clients to grow the business
- Ensure all work activities are in accordance with procedures to cover Quality processes and Health & Safety legislation in accordance with our current QMS system
- Utilise the company vehicles to collect and deliver any items as necessary
- Liaise with Service Department and Service Team regarding their requirements in preparing tooling for offsite work.
