Workshop Manager
Stone Marine Services are recruiting for a Workshop Manager. We are looking for a talented and experienced manager to run a busy mechanical workshop.
To be considered for this role, you should have a minimum of 10 years Heavy Engineering experience. This is a challenging and rewarding role. You will be balancing time-critical repairs, managing resource and budgets while providing leadership and direction to a small team of skilled mechanical fitters, assistants and apprentices.
Your daily duties will include prioritising workload and ensuring all elements of the repair and build are in place to complete on time. Ship repair is a time-critical business to exacting standards, so your knowledge and understanding of engineering principles; Tolerances, Clearances and Machining with an aptitude to read and determine an engineering drawing is a pre-requisite. Not afraid to get your hands dirty, we expect you will want to be involved in repairs and coordinating the build alongside your team when its appropriate.
