QHSE Advisor
Part-time, flexible: 8–16 hours per week, worked Monday to Thursday between 8.30am and 5.00pm.
Stone Marine Services is looking for an experienced Health, Safety and Quality Lead to join our skilled team at our Inverkeithing facility.

Responsibilities
- Develop and take ownership of HSE and Quality systems.
- Lead the on-site Health and Safety committee.
- Lead quality compliance on site.
- Oversee non-conformances, ensuring swift and robust responses.
- Ensure actions arising from non-conformances and complaints are closed out.
- Ensure compliance with required standards and maintain knowledge of the latest standards.
- Manage Health and Safety and Quality activities.
- Lead certification audits and liaise with external assessment bodies.
- Lead customer audits and liaise with customer HSE representatives.
- Lead internal QHSE audits.
- Lead the supplier audit process.
- Manage the Environmental, Health and Safety risk assessment process.
- Provide weekly management updates.
- Develop, maintain and approve the HSE Policy, Manual and relevant processes and procedures.
- Develop, maintain and approve the Quality Policy, Manual and relevant processes and procedures.
- Identify and manage HSE training requirements for employees.
- Analyse and report HSE data and metrics, including Key Performance Indicators.
- Manage HSE improvement plans.
- Manage HSE-related issues internally and with suppliers or customers.
- Undertake other project, leadership activities and duties as required.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- A minimum of NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent.
- Experience in ensuring ISO 9001 compliance.
- Excellent knowledge of UK Health and Safety and Environmental regulations.
- Experience in an engineering environment would be advantageous.
- Knowledge and practical application of quality control processes, continuous improvement tools and ISO 9001 within an engineering environment.
- Thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
