Monthly Roundup | May

This month, our team in the UK and Africa have been working hard to keep our customers’ vessels operational and on schedule. In Africa, we had several service attendances and workshop propeller repairs, whilst our UK-based team negotiated their way around Europe’s dry docks to repair numerous vessels.

South African Propeller Repairs

Our propeller workshop in Cape Town has been busy polishing and repairing blades this week. These blades came from a trawler operating off the coast of Africa, and our team of technicians delivered another excellent and timely service resulting in another happy customer.

Seal and Bow Thruster Overhaul

Staying in Africa, our team over in Namibia were on hand to overhaul the seal boxes and bow thruster of this offshore vessel. We removed the propeller blades and stripped the seal boxes, which were transported to our workshop in Walvis Bay to begin work. After a quick turnaround in the workshop, we fitted the seal box, liners and propellers before the vessel departed dock on schedule.

Back to Back Seals Attendances

Back in the UK, we had two engineers attend a vessel in North Yorkshire. Our engineer overhauled the bow thruster, and the seals engineer inspected the seal box and bonded new Lagersmit seals.

On to the Next…

From one seals attendance to another, this time we were in Swansea to inspect and bond new AFT Lagersmit seals. After filling the oil and carrying out a rigorous inspection, we finished another service job on schedule.
